Tristan’s design career began with his role as the first in-house designer for Peter Gabriel’s Real World group. This offered great creative opportunity; designing CDs for world class music artists and working on the Womad Festival, merchandise, books, award-winning animations and video projects. He moved on to work independently, both freelance and via an agency founded with colleagues, designing for clients including EMI Records, BBC, Watershed, Habitat, Modern Art Oxford and Arnolfini Gallery, as well as several festivals such as the Cheltenham Festivals and Animated Encounters Film Festival. This work includes corporate identity, illustration and marketing materials for print and on-line.
Since 2007 he became involved in art direction for galleries and silkscreen print publishers including Pictures On Walls (POW) and Choque Cultural, working closely with artists to develop their ideas and take them through to production and publication of their fine art editions, zines and merchandise. Tristan is involved in the curation of exhibitions and public art events such as the Cans Festivals in London, 2008 for POW, and Dismaland in 2015.
