I’ll be writing more about it in the coming months, the official release date is 27th September – with a launch party in London lined up for the 1st October.

There are so many fantastic artists and their personal stories in this one but I don’t want to give the game away too soon…

But just today I heard news of a piece two of the artists appearing in the book did together. Saner and Sego were two artists I met on my travels in Mexico last year and this book has a Mexican flavour to it with nearly a third of the artist’s coming from all over Mexico.

Painted at the National Museum of Popular Cultures – its an absolutely stunning piece which gives a flavour of what’s coming in this next book. To read more about the project check Saner’s blog. Also check Sego’s blog for more great work and fantastic photos.

As part of my partnership with Choque Cultural gallery we decided to co-publish some screenprints together with artists that we both wanted to work with. The first up is a print by the French artist Remed printed in Brighton with Artizan Editions. Two colours on Roaspina paper.

The prints are now on sale on the UK website and in the gallery in Sao Paulo.

Remed is artist I’ve been wanting to work with for a while since featuring him in Street Sketchbook. Since then I seem to bump into him everywhere – Spain, France, UK and Sao Paulo…

For a number of months I have been working with a team of students from Brislington Enterprise College, Bristol to produce a magazine called Smudge.

Once a week I worked with the students, introducing them to design ideas and generally helped them realise their own ideas for the magazine. The broad theme of this issue was ‘Space’ so the students looked at issues ranging from local places to Outer Space. The team made their own puppet story, took photographs, designed type, wrote poems, interviewed artists and reviewed films and generally worked very hard!

The project was facilitated by Creative Partnerships.

The pictures here are from this weeks launch party – which featured these great fairy cakes using images from the magazine.

Habitat Mugs series. For  around two years I’ve been talking to Habitat about curating and designing a series of mugs with the theme of stencils. Finally they have been made and are in the shops – sporting artwork by Pablo Fiasco and James Dodd. Turned out well!

I finally have a printed copy of my new book “Street Sketchbook” published by Thames and Hudson, ISBN 978 0500 513620. The book will not reach the shelves for another few weeks yet.

I have to say that its looking fantastic – hard bound, rounded corners, spot varnished cover and 272 pages!

Just finished designing a flyer and poster for Modern Art Oxford’s next Late series on Friday 21 September 2007. The night features paintings by Stella Vine with music by Katiejane Garside and Gina Birch.

Congratulations to friend and collaborator Tony De Marco whose photographs are on the cover of the current issue of Creative Review. Tony is a font designer, publisher and artist based in Sao Paulo. The acompanying story is quite amazing. In September last year a law was passed banning all outdoor advertising in the city. As the advertising has been removed the architecture of many giant billboards has been revealed as documented in Tony’s great photographs. Sao Paulo is a city close to my heart – I believe I’ve visited 7 times now! So any news stories there are always interesting to me.
