Bogota Lecture

Teaching and workshops

Since 2000, Manco has lectured in Illustration and Graphic Design throughout the UK, including Foundation Art, BA Illustration and MA Illustration courses in Plymouth, Portsmouth, Cardiff, Cheltenham, Stroud, Bath and Bristol. Within art and design teaching he has lectured on a wide range of topics including: design principles, professional practice, subversive design and art’s relationship to surrealism and advertising. Alongside contextual studies, Manco has also devised many practical workshops to explore topics such as type+image, character design and idea generation as well as, analogue drawing, painting and construction techniques. Talks

Linked to his career as an author Manco has been invited to give talks across the world about his books and the field of street art, including many well known institutions such as Tate Modern, Royal College of Art and The Institute of Contemporary Art. His lectures particularly focus on creativity and community within graffiti and street art culture, as well as other aspects of contemporary art and his own design practice.
